Michael Saylor says MicroStrategy (Strategy) must be able to Sell Bitcoin

"Saylor also stressed that Strategy must retain the ability to sell Bitcoin, despite building its identity around continuous accumulation.

The comment marks an important qualification to the company's long-standing Bitcoin strategy.

Although Saylor remains firmly bullish on the cryptocurrency's long-term prospects, Strategy needs sufficient flexibility to meet debt obligations, fund dividends and respond to changing market conditions.

He recently predicted that Bitcoin could appreciate by an average of 30% annually over the next 20 years and outperform the S&P 500 over the long term. However, his latest warning makes clear that he does not expect that growth to occur without significant drawdowns.

For MSTR investors, Saylor's message was straightforward: short-term volatility, and potentially several painful years, should be expected rather than treated as an exception."
