Coldcard says dice rolls were always the answer. Their old site says something different, and they have rushed quietly to update the website... Victims may have a real case against them beyond the "uncatched bug"...

Before the hack their marketing frontpage (using last snapshot pre hack event, July 13, 2016) in page was

using:

"harder to fake"

"real to survive real mistakes"

and treated dice-roll entropy as an optional extra for the truly paranoid, even saying that if not done right could be risky.

After the +$100M was stolen because most users didn't roll dice, that same language quietly has been modified in post hack edit, with no clear disclosure that the wording has changed because of the incident.

Coldcard post hack is making visible many things that are worth a lawyer's attention, imagine how many users were affected reading in their frontpage:

"For your funds to be compromised, a backdoor would need to exist for 3 different chips: both the Secure Elements, and the main microprocessor"...

their shit about dice rolling is not even a step required but a softened "optional step".....

So if you were a victim of these idiots, do not let them make you to believe you did something wrong or that you should not sue them, they rushed to blame affecred users claiming they skipped "a critical step" when they did what guide said....they silently updating the website post hack and changing many wording proves that they know it is fucked up.

Again, just raising awareness of why you must not trust Hardware Wallet vendors if you do not know what you are doing. If they got a class-legal action or not, I do not care...But we as community must raise awareness on bad idiots and bad actors. And be more paranoid regarding marketing shit of hardware wallet idiots.

Exchanges are out of question, but ditching hardware wallets or asking you to be paranoid about hardware wallets does not mean one advocates exchanges, but to not buy marketing shit so easy....

Coinkite, Coldcard and NVK Rodolfo Novak are a danger to the ecosystem with their false advertisement and many lies regarding their marketing, and now their silent "softening" on his "COLDCARD is the world's most trusted and secure Bitcoin hardware Wallet"....
